When it comes to leveling in Age of Conan, you can choose either Cimmerian or Aquilonian. There are not any real starting differences between the two so just select the one you think looks the best and get started.

Levels 1-5:

These are tutorial levels and fairly straight forward. Start by swimming out in the water, after the cut-scene, and look for a chest. It’ll give you a ring. Talk the girl in chains and get your quest. Kill some pirates, smugglers, apes and pics. You should be close to 5 when you get to Tortage.

Levels 5-10:

You’ll get a quest from the guard to go to the inn and talk to Tina. Now you get a destiny quest. This will take you to level 10 or even 15 if you kill everything you see.

You can walk around the town and get quests, I believe that you can have 32 quests at a time. When you reach level 15 you can restart your destiny quest. You need to port to your home city to get it.

Levels 15-30:

Do your destiny quest and after that one, go around get as many quests as you can, until you’re at level 20. Try to be efficient and use your mini map. There are many quests around where you’ll just have to run from one location to another, very easy, but time consuming.

This is where an AOC Guide comes in Handy. You spend most of your time traveling. With a guide, you don’t waste your time running back and forth. I usually get from level 1 to 80 within 1 week, when I use the Age of Conan Fast Leveling Guide.

When you’re done with these “messenger” quests, head down to the Cimmerian Settlement where you’ll get tons of quests. When these are completed, you should be close to level 30.

Levels 30-35:

When you’ve reached level 30 soloing gets much easier. If you like soloing, this is where it gets fun. If you go to Old Taratine you can get a lot of grey quests and earn some real easy experience.

From here on, you’re on your own. As you can see, this was a very basic Age of Conan Guide and only designed to give you a quick overview of what your primary objective is in each level span.

The average gamer reach level 40 after around 3-4 weeks. If you use an Age of Conan Guide, you can reach level 80 within 1 Week.
